Welcome everyone to the PT Cruiser GT. A turbocharged model of an otherwise forgotten body style the GT produced between 215 and 230hp. The model lasted between 2003 and 2007 and was available with a five speed manual transmission. Something tells me this would be an overlooked fun hot hatch. With the same engine as a Neon SRT-4 and the same chassis the Cruiser GT should have a wealth of aftermarket parts to make it more fun and exciting that it already would have been from the factory.

Rode in one. No matter the iteration, that car was garbage that played on peoples nostalgia. It was a cramped pig. Some cars should be lost to time. This is near the top of the list lol.

They’re is alot of worse cars to buy but I own a p71 so........

On a side note seen one of these run 13.05 in the 1/4 on a 90 degree humid day.

Yeah. There was a really nice one of NPoCP sometime in the last year or so. It was pretty cheap.

I’d rather just have the SRT hatch... 300hp and a relatively well-appointed interior. (Navigation! Sunroof! Cushy SRT buckets!)

I didn't know these were unsafe? Hmm that's weird. If this checks all your boxes look at the Chevy HHR SS. That would probably check all your boxes too and it might be safer

I made the mistake of racing one of these in my 2g. Eclipse when I was young and stupid. I thought it was just some dinky PT Cruiser with green Streetglow. And then I heard the turbo spool up...

Ugh. The interior is SO awful though. I’ve spent a decent amount of seat time in an SXT 5-speed and the interior is by far my least favorite part.

I had an R/T for a while. Absolutely dreadful interior, but all of the woes I had with it were fixed in the SRT
